Ghana ASCD, in collaboration with International Community School and Good Future
Foundation, successfully organized a nationwide Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Series
from 20th to 24th October 2025, reaching educators in Tamale, Kumasi, and Accra. The
three-day series, held across the Northern, Ashanti, and Greater Accra regions, brought
together over 300 educators, administrators, and school leaders from both public and private
educational institutions. The initiative aimed to strengthen digital literacy and promote
innovative teaching and learning practices powered by Artificial Intelligence.
The overall objective of the AI Training Series was to introduce educators to the
fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and demonstrate how AI tools can enhance teaching,
learning, and school management. The sessions were also designed to help participants
build digital confidence and discover practical ways to integrate technology into their
professional practice.

Facilitators from Good Future Foundation, supported by educators from International
Community School, led the training sessions across all three regions. Together, they
delivered comprehensive and interactive workshops that deepened participants’
understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in education. Their collaborative
facilitation approach ensured that participants gained both the technical knowledge and the
pedagogical strategies needed to effectively integrate AI into teaching, learning, and school
administration.
Throughout the series, facilitators led interactive sessions covering key topics:
Classroom wins now: planning, prompting, and assessment integrity.
Safeguarding, data, and policy.
Media literacy and AI disinformation: Teach it Tomorrow.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in live demonstrations, group discussions, and
Q&A sessions.Across all three regions, participants actively engaged in discussions and
practical exercises. The enthusiasm from attendees highlighted a growing interest among
educators to embrace digital transformation in their schools.
The AI Training Series significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of Artificial
Intelligence and its relevance to education. Educators reported increased confidence in
exploring AI tools for planning lessons, creating learning materials, and supporting students
more effectively.
