Equity & Cultural Competence

We believe in educational equity whereby all students, regardless of race, culture, language, gender, ability, religion, etc, experience a sense of belonging and inclusive and culturally responsive practices.

This ensures that all students have access to and are supported to achieve academic excellence. Further, we are committed to supporting educators and leaders to create the conditions in which all learning community members are valued and social-emotional wellness is prioritized.

We support assessing and growing cultural competence and proficiency at the individual, classroom, school, and systems levels. This support includes evaluating cultural competence and current realities, strengthening teaching and learning, and planning for and responding in culturally affirming ways to diverse environments in classrooms and schools.
